Where did you find it? Is it good?
I got this berry flavor at Sam's but I think I've seen it at Walgreens and Target. It's probably the most refreshing Protein Drink I've had so far and I've had quite a few

I've had orange flavor too but berry is much better.

I surprisingly didn't fear clots! I guess I should have. I have 4 clots two in my lungs, on in my intestine and one in going from my liver to my intestine. The are putting me on Elequis and as long as I am doing well I can go home tomorrow. The pain has ended so that is really good. I finally threw up from the meds yesterday and it was scary but not as bad as I had thought. This has definitely been the scariest thing I have ever gone through. My mom is actually flying in today because I was such a wreck yesterday crying and thinking I was dying.

Scary stuff.....but mom's coming, that's great!!!

I thought the clots were a concern when we were still in the hospital or right when we got home, I didn't even realize they were still a concern once we were out walking and doing regular activities.

I'm very thankful for this thread

I had a hard time today...

I think I have been very strong since surgery. I came to visit my mother and she was making pork ribs with rice (her famous rice). I admit I wanted to eat so bad but ONLY out of fear of getting sick, I didn't. That isn't what bothered me. What bothered me was the thought of when it would be okay to eat rice with pork ribs. I know it's not okay now, but will I ever be able to eat pork? What about white rice? The rice I grew up with??! These thoughts kept getting longer and longer until I finally started crying. Sushi? Taquitos? I didn't think I'd miss food like this. I love pop corn. I love eating it with flamin' hot cheetos. When will I be able to enjoy that again? Sigh. Finally doubt set in.. Did I make the right choice?

I'm just having a rant... it's hard because the pureed food I'm eating now, I eat it so slow that I don't even enjoy it. Tiny little bites and I can't even taste. I feel so robbed.

I know it's for my health and when I step on the scale, it's worth it but I still feel sad sometimes.

Awe, you have done so well and have been so strong so far.....you may just be having a mini melt down, which is normal. I hope your feeling better today. It's so fun waking up each morning feeling a little more thinner and healthier, isn't it? :)

I'm so pumped about finding a cute little dress to wear when I get skinny. I haven't worn a dress in probably 25 years I've got such wide shoulders and carried a lot of weight in my stomach so dresses just didn't look good on me.

What is it that your looking forward to wear again?

I can comfortably eat and enjoy what I'm eating now.. Kind of.

I'm finally out of the twenties. I'm at 219.2.. just 19.4 pounds away from my first goal. That's a total of 34.4 pounds

I have been stalling this week, though. I'm trying not to become discouraged. I expected it so I don't understand why it's bumming me out. Maybe I am depressed? I don't know...

I do have a few dresses I purchased right before surgery because they were on sale. I felt like I was expecting a baby and I was shopping for baby clothes. Lol I'm soooo looking forward to fitting them on.

How is everything going for you?

Still have this almost constant mild nausea. It's not bad, never vomit, just bad enough to be annoying and make me not want to do anything. Others are having such problems, I feel dumb complaining about it, but it's slowly taking its toll on me. Just want to go one day without feeling crappy. Gotta wonder if it's ever gonna pass!

Me to @@macdonaldkelly I do actually vomit everyday except 2 days since surgery, have only tried to eat maybe 3 times and it came up, not getting any Protein in and bearly 20 oz Water which that comes up also...doctor has me on 2 different meds but doesn't help...I was so sick Monday everything was coming up even meds, now I have a horrible pain in my left side (worse then right after surgery) I'm so very frustrated...if this pain doesn't go away I'm gonna have to call.

I STILL have left sided abdominal pain, feels just like I ran a mile.....like a side cramp. Had CTA of chest and it was negative. Doctor said it could ache for a month or so. Yesterday it was gone but I lifted my 5 year old daughter yesterday and now sore again. Ugh.

I was waiting until someone posted this.. I found them at Walmart. I never got them BC I was scared of the chalky taste. Please inform me on how they taste.

I'm having bypass. My surgery is at 8 in the morning, which is good so I won't be waiting around all day!

I am so happy for you that you're not enduring so much pain...my pain was debilitating....I couldn't stand, sit, or anything. I am finally home from the hospital after 6 days and still need pain killers, the clots were fairly large. I wish you a speedy recovery but with all the fluids they gave me I've gained ten pounds I hope to lose them quickly but also recovering soon I'll be on xarelto for a few months and have to follow up with hematology. I totally understand the fear I thought the same thing...all of us ladies are some tough Cookies and we have each other! Grateful for this lovely thread and support from you wonderful women.

Saw my PCP & officially started my 6 month supervised diet 07/26/24. She just told me to eat less carbs & sugar, use the air fryer and not fry my foods in grease, and to try to walk 30 minutes 3 days a week & if I can't do that (and I cannot), to walk 10 minutes daily. Told me to walk fast enough that my heart rate is raised.  She didn't give me a number as far as calories though. A year or so ago I was doing low carb/sugar free and keeping my calories at 1800 or below. She said I should up my cals to 2000 at that time, so that's what I'm shooting for now.
Hubby walked with me today. He's in pretty bad shape so I was surprised he wanted to. We walked down the gravel road at a pretty good pace (for us LOL). 10 minutes walking and my heart rate was 115bps according to my Fitbit and 125bps according to his pulsometer. Either way, it was elevated and I was breathing hard. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start. We'll do it again tomorrow. 😁
I should be hearing from the surgeon soon. She said if I didn't, to call him next week. Since I HAVE to do the 6 month diet & that's going to put me into January by the time it's done, I'm hoping the surgeon will let me do all my testing in January. I don't want to do it all now and have my deductible get met, only to have to pay the deductible again in January or February for my surgery. Praying that things go the way I hope. 🙏

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.

Various regulatory bodies are approving alternative sweeteners for use, ensuring their safety and efficacy. These approvals provide food and beverage manufacturers with the confidence to incorporate alternative sweeteners into their products. Additionally, initiatives like sugar taxes in several countries are pushing companies to seek healthier alternatives to traditional sugar.
