Yes, I knew it was coming. That's why I tried to sit before I fell.

My sister was so scared. I tried to calm her and tell her it's normal. It has happened before and it will happen again. It's my fault for not paying attention. I just need to be more careful and eat slowly. I told her I was fine and I didn't need to go to the ER. It took a while before I could convince her I was okay to drive home from her house. Which is 10 mins away.

I really need to look into getting a medical Bracelet.< /p>

I know it's not good looking at the scale everyday. But I do, and I can't stop, it's there and I just need to know.

These are my weigh-ins for the last week. I wish I could just accept the stall and keep going, but today I gained almost 1 pound since yesterday. I stated crying instantly. I need to lose 15 pounds by the 29th and I just don't think it will happen for me. Is anyone else on a gain/lose stall like me? It would sure make feel a lot better.

I have several days where nothing happens or I gain a pound.

How is your excersise level? When there isn't a positive change in my weight It reminds me I'm slacking at getting in my walks

@summerset

I have been off work for 11.5 months on a shoulder/neck injury. So losing the weight I have lost is okay because no one at work will know I've lost it in only 6 weeks. I return to work on the 29th. If I weigh 185, no one will pay attention that I will still be losing weight. (30 more to be exact)but it will be much slower. But if I'm at this weight everyone will know I had surgery because I'll still lose 50 pounds. At my job everyone is very judgemental and cruel for no reason. I am very private and I don't like anyone knowing my business. Especially if, God forbid, I regain the weight and they gossip and laugh about my failure. 8 years ago I was the #1 topic of gossip and I've maintained low status since then. I don't want to give them an excuse. I would go home in tears. I just don't want to go through that again. It's just terrible, but it's a government job and the benefits and pay are amazing.

@Pup

Yes, I have started swimming since my doctor released me for all physical activity on the 6th. Before that I was just doing some light dancing. My doctor also told me to eat fruits and veggies now. Maybe the change in eating is what is giving me the stall? I just don't know. Sigh.

Yes, most of them do suck. That's why I stick with myself and take naps during breaks.

Wow Omica! That is awful! I work for the government as well...federal government. We don't treat each other like that at all. I told a few people about my surgery and they have been very supportive. Maybe it is because I am HR but they are pretty chill about my surgery.

Yeah offices are great. I wish I was there instead of where I am. I work in the warehouse. There are over 350 employees. We are divided by units. But it's like civil war. I have an angry resting face, so everyone thinks I'm stuck up. But I'm not, I'm such a sweet girl. Everyone in my own unit loves me, but other units look at me like I'm trying to complete. Story of my life, girls hate me and guys like me. Lol

Dang girl, you've had a rough go.

I can't wait to dig into a small crispy salad....maybe I'm ready, I just need to hear it from the doctor.

I'm down 27lbs since surgery....seems to be moving pretty slow but not complaining or worried. I need to get my butt exercising...my plan is to join the ymca on Thursday!!!!!

Never heard of this.

If you like saunas (I don't, the cool pool after sweating was always what I liked best about it :lol:), give it a try.

I went to see the hemotologist yesterday. It was a bit scary because it was a tumor institute so everyone treated me like I had cancer. Anyway, the doctor was nice but was obsessed with the survey I had. He wanted to know how much weight I had lost since surgery. I told him 31lbs. He acted like that wasn't much and the proceeded to ask me how much more weight I planned to lose? I was like DUDE are you serious! 31lbs in 7 weeks isn't good enough!!! He then proceeded to tell me that I should be exercising 7 days a week and taking the dog on long walks doesn't count! Why do people become so obsessed with this surgery they know nothing about. Not even my bariatric surgeon asks me about my weight. My nutritionist even told me last week they don't like telling people a goal weight because every person is different and it all depends on how much you put into your new life style. Anyway, sorry for the rant but it is so frustrating! He is my blood doctor not my bariatric Doctor!

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
