ChooChi73 59 Posted June 27, 2016 So, officially, I gained 5.6 pounds taking in those liquids. I took in 2 liters a day for 2 days. The first day I didn't pee at all. The second day I peed all day and all last night. So considering I'm good with liquids (because I can take 64oz now) my weigh in today put me at 28 pounds since surgery... bummer... I was so close to ONEderland... sigh.. what can you do? It's not like I'm at my starting weight, right? Lol On a bright note, the benadryl helped a lot. My hives are mostly gone. I'm going back to Pepcid today and wait for my lame doctor to respond. The only problem now is Protein.. I can't stomach it for the life of me. I've tried a variety of brands and all of them make me want to throw up right after. Don't fret the 5 lbs...you still have a long span of losing. Do you feel so much better now that your pumped full of Fluid? Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App Yes! I feel great! I'm not getting tired anymore going up the stairs. I'm eating again and the hives are mostly gone. Also, I think I've begun I feel hunger. Like my stomach is about to growl, but it never does. It's weird.Yes, that is a weird feeling. I get that way too. I feel a lack of energy when it's time to eat. I wonder if it's a blood sugar thing. one step at a time, one sip at a time, one pound at a time. ChooChi73 59 Posted June 27, 2016 I'm a little over 5 weeks post op. I have lost 20.2 lbs since surgery and 35.2 since pre-op diet. I feel like my weight loss is so slow compares to others. I am on soft foods, and can eat about 2 Oz at a time. I've already had 2 stalls. It's a little discouraging at times. one step at a time, one sip at a time, one pound at a time. I'm 5 weeks post op also....and down 24 lbs. I feel pretty satisfied with that. The first 15 did just fall off over night though lol Do you excersise regularly? I know I need to start doing some serious exercising....I feel plenty good to start aerobics or some power walking. I walk now but I need to step it up. Tomorrow is my first follow up. Kind of curious. Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App Did you start off with a lower bmi? summerset 5,265 Posted June 28, 2016 @@Pup What do you mean with "started with a lower BMI"? Can you clarify? -- Follow-up was ok. They did a hemoglobin and ferritin test I requested (waiting for the results now) because I'm currently having a very, very, VERY heavy period after years of Cerazette (I'm scheduled for a Mirena now). I want to know if there is a problem because after years and years of PPI I'm not sure how much Iron my body has still stored. Never had a problem that indicated anemia but who knows? summerset 5,265 Posted June 28, 2016 Today I did a PTA on a dialysis shunt. Took over an hour. Heavy X-ray coat and all. I should have started with something quick and easy. Now I feel pretty beaten.
Lindsey Skinner Abbott 97 Posted June 28, 2016 I have had the Mirena for 2 years now. I don't have periods. The only time I did was right after going on the blood thinners. It lasted a week. Still not a heavy period but enough for a light pad. Now I am back to no period! I am down 25lbs since surgery! I also just ordered the Vitamin patch. I am going to give it a try since I hate chewing 4 Vitamins a day. Just the thought of it makes me want to throw up! I have a six week follow up next week where I hope to be cleared for all exercise. I have been cleared for exercise for the blood clots. So ready to start back at the Y doing classes!

Sorry, the BMI question was meant for ChooChi73. She was unhappy with her weight loss so far and I just wondered if maybe she started with a lower BMI so didn't lose the weight as quickly as somebody that maybe had a higher BMI. Sorry for any confusion Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App

Pup 217 Posted July 1, 2016 I was wondering how is everyone doing with the waiting 30 minutes after you drink before you have your protein/meal, and then waiting an hour after you eat before you have your liquids? So what if I am having a Protein Drink that would also count as my Water intake, then want to eat my meal? If I'm eating Protein or drinking Protein back to back, do I need to have that time in between there where Im not eating or drinking anything? Does my question make sense to anybody LOL Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App
macdonaldkelly 33 Posted July 1, 2016 I think the important thing is to keep your liquids separated from your solids, regardless of Protein content. I saw a spectacular video about this. If I can find it, I'll post a link.
