audaciousmarie 165 Posted May 19, 2016 I'm 29.. So I'm unsure if I fall into the young category anymore (*throws plate at the wall*) but I'm having my surgery on Thursday next week and I've never been more ready. Forget what family and friends say it's how you feel and what you want. It's your life, do not let anyone tell you how to live it! Good luck, you've got this! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App 29? You definitely fall into the young sleevers category. higher 966 Posted May 20, 2016 I'm 31 but chiming in to say that several of the doctors I've met throughout the process have praised me for getting this done "at a young age" so good on all of you for taking this on in your 20s! I feel great regret about spending my 20s as an obese woman...missed out on a lot.
Hannahb3997 60 Posted May 20, 2016 I'm 19! I'm having bypass in 3 days and I can't wait. I am sick and tired of being to overweight to do things that other people my age do. I want to be able to walk up a flight of stairs with out needing to stop at the top for a break to catch my breath. I am young, but I want to be healthy sooner rather than later.
