He said he to wants to have kids down the road Everything was going so well...why oh why?

I never wanted to have any. Now 7.5 months post surgery I can't even think about putting any weight back on I'm happy with my journey so far.

this is something only you and him can really discuss. You need to know what you want and you need to discuss it. If you both want different things it will make a long term relationship very difficult. My soon to be ex husband one day told me he didn't want to have kids. He knew I did. If I had known he didn't want to have any I never would have married him in the first place

do you really not want kids or are you just afraid of gaining weight?

if it's just the weight, pregnancy is a temporary condition you know

Having children is something that should be decided well before marriage. It's an absolute deal-breaker if you're not on the same page.

If he wants kids and you don't, just end it now and find someone who agrees with you. Trust me, there are a lot of us out there.

I already said goodbye last Saturday. It was very calm and peaceful. No need to further invest anymore time, effort, energy or emotions. No one should rob him of his right to be a father. Nor should I have to reproduce to keep a partner happy. Sucks but kids are non negotiable. We had a beautiful run. I have no regrets.

@@dusky goddess - I have two young friends who are happily married with two beautiful daughters and everyone was continuously asking are you going to have another one (to get a son)?

Her response, "just because we can....doesn't mean we should."

Fast forward 5 years>>>> they decided to have another child, a boy.

Point is - procreation is not for everyone and there is NO set amount you are suppose to "produce" look at the Duggars....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
