Have you passed gas yet? I felt so sick after my surgery and after I passed gas I started feeling better. Also try sugar free Popsicles that's how I got through it

Don't let the few negatives outweigh the lifetime of positives it will give you. Yes, there are hard times involved... but they go away. Then we all have a new body and life and spirit to obtain. Best of luck.

Hi, let's not forget that this is still a surgery! I know we always talk about sleeve or VSG but this is a major intervention on one of the most important organs. I believe that when we think about it, our recovery is quite amazing. Yes, this is painful at first, but I have been through worse pains than that. And...oh boy, the results are so great that if I had to feel the gas pain again (once or twice, not more, I am not crazy) I would sign up for it!

I'm 8-days post op and still have a hard belly full of air despite walking, drinking, and Protein. Otherwise I'm ok. Anxious. Fantasizing about puréed food. (There's a sentence I never thought I'd write in my lifetime.)

Had my sleeve this past Thursday & I feel horrible. Still have a lot of gas & pain. I've been walking some but not as much as I can (I know this will help with the pain & gas.) My main concern is that I can't tolerate anything. I've only been able to take a few sips ofwater & Protein shakes before I start to feel nauseous. Any suggestions on how to get pass this? I don't wanna get dehydrated & end up in the hospital.
