rhansen7 1 Posted May 15, 2016 I'm 3 weeks post op. I have trouble swallowing anything, but mostly miss refreshing drinks of Water. I have pain from, I think, my haital hernia repair. I'm supposed to be on pureed or liquids, but just can't get them down. Today I tried Protein Drink, applesauce, and some saltine crackers; the drink and applesauce was probably only an ounce each. I have the pain and heartburn as well. I was on a trip and my prevacid was causing foam and vomiting. Just feeling weak, listless. Advice please. Rolaids works a little. BENBO 0 Posted May 15, 2016 Right now sip sip sip slowly for a while. You will in a little time, be able drink, not sip, Water normally. No water 30 min before or 30 minutes after eating. No liquids with meals. Try Tomato basil Soup, 4 Oz. Very satisfying. Just keep it slow.
