It never hurts to call the insurance company. Just call customer service and let them know you want to check the status of your authorization. I called everyday when I was waiting...lol

Wow!!! I retired from there in September! I worked there for 29 years. When they were working on my auth a couple of weeks ago someone I know that's still there told me they currently had a 6 day back log on auths....What part of Floirida are you in? I'm just outside Jacksonville in Middleburg.

Wow!!! I retired from there in September! I worked there for 29 years. When they were working on my auth a couple of weeks ago someone I know that's still there told me they currently had a 6 day back log on auths....What part of Floirida are you in? I'm just outside Jacksonville in Middleburg.

I live in Panama City Beach. I work for the State of FL. Just hoping this won't take long. I started this journey in November 2015.

With the 6 day back log you should hear something Monday or tues....you have exactly the same insurance as me! We are covered under my husband's plan through the State of Florida employees.....He's a corrections officer at a prison. The good news with being on the State insurance contrat is that Florida Blue doesn't out-source our Medical Auths....they review them in house rather than sending them off-shore like all the rest. I feel sure you'll hear something next week but give them a call. They were very helpful each time I called.

I'm having my surgery on Monday so I'll be out of commission a couple of days.....but if you don't hear anything by Wednesday send me a message and I'll make a call to a couple of folks I know to try to find our what's going on for you..

@@tresmith69 No problem at all. I know exactly how hard it is to wait!!! I had inside connections and the wait still caused me to go nuts!!! I added you as a friend............surgery is on Monday and I'm a nervous wreck!!! My surgeon prescribed Valium for me to take at bed time these last few days before surgery to help me sleep and the one I took about 20 minutes ago is messing with me bad now.............so I'm headed off to bed tonight. Stay in touch!!....
