Eating after sleeve

Recommended Posts

I just got home from the hospital and I can't keep anything down. I need to take my pain and nausea pills. I throw them back up if I take them on an empty stomach. I have tried several different broths that I liked prior to surgery. When will things taste normal again?

This is common. I did the same thing. Always think small! Only one bite at a time, slow! Sipping fluids slowly and waiting for that feeling in your stomach. If you still have problems, you need to address this with your doctor during follow up visit! Best of luck to you.

Be sure to be sitting on the edge of the bed when drinking, do not lay down immediately. I had issues keeping stuff down so I sat up and then walked after I drank, 100% better

Learn to make bone broth; buy some good beef marrow bones and roast them with your choice of root veggies- carrots, onions, celery, garlic, parsnips, leeks etc. After roasting add Water to a stock pot or crock pot and simmer several hours with a few bay leaves and a tsp of cider vinegar and salt to taste. I

I find good broth is a great friend and it also helps you heal. Store bought usually sucks and is pure chemistry- not nourishment.
