goblue9280 481 Posted May 13, 2016 What shakes are you referring to, Protein Shakes? What does your nut/surgeon require? You can buy Premier Protein ready to drink shakes for around $1 a piece from warehouse club stores... or $1.50-$2 a piece from Kroger.
Daisee68 2,493 Posted May 13, 2016 There is an ad on this site for Insure Nutrition. I haven't used them but I believe some on here have. You might contact them and see what help they can offer.
KristenLe 5,979 Posted May 13, 2016 @@snugelkin Do you get food stamps? If so - there might be a covered Protein Shake - just pay attention to the sugar/carbs in them.
Read2016 658 Posted May 13, 2016 Speak with your surgeon's office, they maybe have samples they can give you. You mentioned your disabled, if you have a social worker or case worker they should be able to find a source of funding for you. Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted May 13, 2016 Carnation no-sugar added Breakfast essentials are relatively reasonably priced (except you make them with milk so you need to include the cost of milk). When you talk to your surgeon's office see if they are on the approved list.

Valentina 2,642 Posted May 13, 2016 Maybe you could ask your Bariatric team if there is a Protein shake available that is prescription covered. I know that a neighbor of mine gets Boost and Ensure monthly delivered after her MD wrote a script for it. Worth a call, right?
