I have posted on the UK forum before but nowhere else and now everything is going ahead I thought I would introduce myself properly and see if anyone had any advice! I am nervous and excited, I start my pre-op liquid diet on wednesday and determined to stick to it! My current weight is 24st 3lbs so I have loads to lose and I can't wait to start. kezateit 0 Posted July 30, 2008 Hi there, I am being banded in Australia on the 15th of August. I have to do a special diet of Meal Replacements for the 3 weeks prior to surgery so I have been on it for 5 days and have lost 4.5 kg. Not sure what that is in pounds. The primary reason for going on this diet is because it shrinks your liver to make surgery easier. It's slowly getting easier. The first few days I was so grumpy.....my poor hubby and kids. Anyway, now that the weight is coming off I'm not so grumpy as it is a great side effect!!! Can't wait to get banded and start my new life.....but I'm nervous as well. It's a pool of mixed emotion.
