Kari1985 70 Posted September 8, 2016 weird. I'm set to have my 6 week follow up next week with Ali, and just got a voicemail from them that they needed to cancel due to "an unexpected schedule change". So I called back to try and schedule another appointment and they informed me that they are not rescheduling at this time, and they will give me a call back within the next few WEEKS with an update.... Sounds like there is a shakeup in the office or something...

csquaredmom 8 Posted September 21, 2016 Received a call from Dr Cronks office. After six months of doctor appointments, lost weight, endoscopy, appointments with him, nutritionist and EKG, I'm told that I must lose more weight (never mind the last six months). According to them this is a "new policy". I'm not so frustrated with the additional requirement as I am the lack of communication and the expense I've gone through. I'm hoping to get the surgery done this year for insurance and I started this process 1/12/2016. I'll lose the additional weight but this road feels long. And longer. Sad. Frustrated. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I'm sorry to hear you've had such a tumultuous journey with Dr. Cronk's office. It is definitely a long journey, but one that is well worth it. Stick with it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Kari1985 70 Posted September 22, 2016 I met with Ali the nurse practitioner yesterday for my 6 week appt. It appears that there was a family emergency or something of that nature which caused the cancellation and rescheduling of appointments. I confirmed (more than once) that Dr. Cronk and everyone else are still there, so there isn't some crazy office shake up going on.

Unfortunate about the family emergency, that's usually never something good, but I'm glad to hear all the staff is still there. How's your journey going so far? What stage of the diet do they have you on? Lost a significant amount of weight? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

There has been a significant spike in my happiness since getting on the "soft" food diet. I feel completely normal now. The weight loss has definitely slowed down, last week I only lost 1 pound.... but I have to be realistic that not every week is going to be an amazing week. I've made mistakes and need to work on eating slower, but I'm learning. Overall I have lost 44 pounds since July 22nd (5 days before surgery). My goal is 75 pounds by Christmas. 1 csquaredmom reacted to this

That's great progress. Some weeks are slower than others, and there will be plateaus. But as long as you are following your dietary guidelines you'll be great!! Keep up the great work!! csquaredmom 8 Posted October 3, 2016 I'm not sure what all transpired. But I do know that Karen in their office has been wonderful. I am thankful they did what they could to help me - and I'm onto another group that will help me. Don't give up.
