I heard that after WLS your penis grows.

And if you didn't have one before, and you eat a lot of Protein, one can magically appear!

I read it on the internet.

I need to up my protein. I can barely see mine :(

I'm so glad this thread is still plugging along...

Morning my little Antipodean treasure. Thought that you weren't talking to us as you have been VERY quiet for the last couple of days. Thought you might have got the hump because we caught you out being unfaithful in your affections to Ms LipstickLady. Tsk tsk. You bounder sir.

Yep this thread is still toddling along.

I was incredibly worried about you too!!!

Where the heck is my kangaroo? I have a nice big backyard for him to play in. Can you give me approximate size of him so I can have a snappy collar made for him too? Ooooh and maybe a vest....

Please include a platypus as well. I have a pool and we would have so much fun. Again, I am prepared to pay shipping costs for all.

Or you can just deliver in person- yey!!!

Glad to see you back. Missed ya. :)

Just make sure you use the right bathroom - especially in North Carolina! ;-)

I personally have a friend that had the sleeve and started drinking sodas again. She noticed she could eat alot more and got nervous. She went to her bariatric doctor and did a barium swallow test, sure enough her sleeve was stretched to the size it was before surgery.

Ever wonder what carbonation does to our sleeved tummies? The photo on the left is a normal banana tummy, the photo on the right is a banana tummy on carbonation. It is stretched and will not return to banana size

If this is true, the surgeon who did her original surgery screwed the pooch. There shouldn't be enough fundus left to stretch, much less back to the size of the original stomach.

She should seek legal counsel.

I believe that is a photo of a stomach before sleeve surgery and then after. The stomach cannot stretch back to its original size. It's physically impossible.

Do you realize the sheer pressure it would take to stretch a stomach that has no fundus? A lot more than a few carbonation bubbles can do.

Can we just put this old wives tale to rest now? It's tiresome.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
