I ate guacamole the other day with some fritos is that bad? I am so hungry right now I want a fried shrimp sandwich with hot sauce

Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

Guac isn't bad.....lots of good fats and flavor that will keep you satisfied for hours.

Fritos........kick those bishes to the curb.

Fried anything........again, kick that crap.

Admittedly, I haven't gone back and read other replies...you most likely have already read better advice and applied it.

I hope you kick some arse.

Guacamole isn't bad if you aren't on your pre-op diet like the OP did not mention in the initial post.

Context is everything!

Oh no!!!

I've started the great 'Guac/avo Incident of 2016'...

Relax now people...

It's not like I said "Straws are good" or "Can I eat pizza at 10 days out?"

I know I've said it before, but -

I love you lot...

"Vegemite is the food of my people". Thanks KindaFamiliar... My few final owie stitches were so close to healing up finally... Oh no and now the hubby hears me guffawing! Kids are up!!! Dog barking!! I hope you are happy you have wreaked havoc upon a nice, quite family in Jacksonville, Florida!!!!!!

Actually don't worry about it. We are bored and welcome distractions! Especially the dog.

Now I'm off to bed. I will leave you all with this: sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite. If they do, hit them with a shoe.

You'd be my very best friend for life!! I so miss my beloved Vegemite sandwiches.

And since bread is on my "do not eat" list, I finally have a reason to attack the jar with nothing but a spoon.

I eat my guac, which is tremendously healthy with lots of potassium and good fat with a limited amount of "Beanitos" they are a bean based healthier version of Doritos. You can also use veggies for dipping in guac if you are on solid food.< /p>

I am on a pre op liquid diet almost 2 weeks now, my surgery is on Friday morning... Yes it's very difficult, but every time i want to put something in my mouth that I'm not supposed to I think of why I am doing this and that I don't want to wake up from anesthesia and learn they couldn't do my surgery because of fatty liver blocking the way... I have come way too far to get here. Today at work they ordered pizza, I went to a different room in the office and had my warm broth because I didn't want extra temptation.

Ask yourself if you are really ready to make this commitment... This is not just another diet you are starting after surgery and it won't just last certain # of weeks, we have to make these changes for life and find comfort in other things (I have been cleaning and organizing like there is no tomorrow to keep my myself occupied and not think about food)

Wish you all the best but really think about it if you are really ready to do this... It's not a magic pill...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
