kealot 136 Posted May 7, 2016 I had a brachioplasty and a breast lift on 4/21. I was just wondering what the average time to get back to "normal" is? Normal as in having normal range of motion back with your arms, being able to bed over without discomfort due to the lift, ect. Because everything is so tight right now and my boobs have never been this tight. Thanks
JamieLogical 8,713 Posted May 8, 2016 You're not even 2 full weeks out yet. Your surgeon should have given info on you lifting restriction. But definitely don't expect full range of motion for another couple of weeks still. As for breasts, the swelling can last about 2 months.

I can't lift over my head and no more than 5 lbs. I was just curious on range of motion and stuff like that. Thanks!
Spiceyfrog 269 Posted May 12, 2016 My surgeon recommended I did not lift my hands over my head for three weeks. I am just over four months post-op now and there are days when it still feels like my arms are stretching when I lift them, but I would say it was a good six weeks before my arms felt normal. Today is 3 weeks and I'm getting a little more range of motion, but he still told me nothing more than 5 lbs and don't reach over my head. I'm healing really good, just a few more weeks of my arms being wrapped. Thanks again!
