How long before I feel good?

Recommended Posts

I had mine done on 5/3rd and I'm still feeling horrible! But I also had a hiatal hernia repaired, and lap band removed then my vertical sleeve gastrectomy. I've been taking the liquid form Norco with Tylenol 3 every 4 hours, religiously. Still no relief. Just makes me sleepy. Still very hard to get up and move around, but I'm giving myself 1 week to get better. Lol. Anyone else have the same procedures done at the same time like myself? Would live to hear ur input.

I was sleeved may 17th. I feel completely normal today besides my incisions being a little sore today-yesterday was pretty good too. The night of surgury was very very rough for my as I was having some pretty severe back pain along with everything else.I honestly did not expect the pain to be as server as it was... I was on dialuded With frequent doses in the hospital along with one does of something stronger I don't remember what it was..you'll be fine though I'm honestly a somewhat sensitive and pain intolerant person lol...

I was sleeved on Monday May 23rd and have some bouts of terrible pain- a coughing fit sent sharp, searing pain with a burning sensation across the left side of my stomach and then later a sneeze did the same thing- actually bringing me to tears. I am hoping and praying I have not done any damage on the inside and am waiting to finally feel better.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
