RJC5197 282 Posted May 6, 2016 I was surprised by the comment by my NUT made this week, that whey Isolate Protein is not good in that it does not supply the body with the full protein value on the label (Only gives 12 grams when say 30 grams), and so she want to see all Proteins B4 we use to approve it. I have used it for years and been told by others that whey isolate is a good quality protein and best utilized by the body. I also have a lot of it, in different flavors on hand, with high protein, low to no carbs. Anyone have any info on this, or do I really have a lot of protein that is not great to use? catwoman7 11,220 Posted May 7, 2016 I've heard it's one of the *best* sources - so what she said is puzzling...

TJs_Dad2012 246 Posted May 8, 2016 Lots of doctors will tell you Protein shakes are garbage due to the sheer over processing to get the end result. Also, on most labels the fda is never involved and the claims on the lable haven't been tested outside the company.
