mrshill45 12 Posted May 6, 2016 (edited) My doctor's office said they sent my paper work to the insurance company for approval on April 28th but when I call the insurance company they still say have not received anything. I am at a loss on what to do. Any feedback or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Edited May 6, 2016 by mrshill45
jackh 15 Posted May 6, 2016 Make sure the doctors office has the right fax #. I had a similar issue because the 1 had to be put in before the # and docs didn't know that. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App
mrshill45 12 Posted May 6, 2016 Thank you, jackh. I will definitely try that.
Recycled 2,182 Posted May 6, 2016 If you only knew how many times my Dr's office screwed up things.......but.......here I am......surgery done....all weight lost....and doing great.....and it all seems like it happened so fast..... Calm down, snafus happen......it'll all get sorted out and pretty soon you'll be living the life too......wondering where the time went..... Here's something to think about..... mrshill45 12 Posted May 6, 2016 Thank you, Recycled. I really needed those words of encouragement. The doctor's office was so great during the six month supervised weight loss phase, I was so sure everything would go without any snafus for the preapproval. Wishful thinking I suppose. Miss Mac 6,262 Posted May 6, 2016 I just recently had that issue with a neurosurgeon who was supposed to fax exam notes to the pain clinic I go to for treatment. They said twice that they sent it, but the clinic said twice that they did not get it. So the third time I talked to the neurologist's office manager, we compared fax numbers. They were sending it to some anesthesia office. While you are waiting, give yourself a headstart with these steps that most of us have to do pre-op anyway: Do not eat anything made in a factory. Eat lean Protein first and plenty of it. Drink Water until your eyeballs float. Don't become part of the sofa.
