tnavarro5 0 Posted August 12, 2007 I was banded on July 10th. I am voluntarily on a liquid diet. At four weeks I started to add some Protein Snacks with my shakes and tried to chew real well. At first this was working and going down fine...However I have on a few occasions ate too quickly and too much and it seems like the food got stuck and then went down (salami, beef). When it went down there was quite a bit of pain. Is this normal? Could I have damaged my band/stomach? My doctor has never done any type of xray etc. to see if band was placed properly? Should I request this before my first fill? Thanks for any advice you can give me!
WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted August 12, 2007 Everyone has problems with some type of food. Beef is one of the more common problem foods. Take smaller bites, chew until it is a paste, and eat verrry slowly. The problem foods for most seem to be bread, beef, dry chicken, eggs, and Pasta.
