Well I found out today that my insurance does not cover any version of the weight loss surgeries so I cannot afford to do the gastric sleeve like I so desperately want and I certainly won't be able to afford it anytime soon. Maybe if I win the lottery or if I start a go fund me account I can get close but oh well I guess I have to figure it out some other way

I can offer no 'advice' as I'm not familiar with the processes for your country...

What I will so tho, is this -

Don't give up...

If this is truly the course of action that you need to take, don't give up...

Again, I've no suggestions as to what your next step(s) should, or even could, be...

But the second you lose hope is the second that this whole thing becomes too much...

I genuinely wish you nothing but the best,,

I hope that thru here, or elsewhere, you come across some information that can assist you in getting where you need to be..

As always, please keep us updated as to where things are at for you...

And take care...

I don't know your situations but agree with @KindaFamiliar. Don't give up hope. A couple of possible options I can think of......If possible change your insurance to one of the Market Place policies that cover the surgery.......this option, however may end up costing you as much as it would cost to go to Mexico to have the surgery.....So that's the second option I can think of, I've seen several folks who have their surgery in Mexico for around $5000...... When I first started hearing about folks going to Mexico for surgery by first thought was "no way!!!"......However, after doing a little research and watching some informational videos I think if it was not a covered service under my insurance that going to Mexico would be a serious consideration for me.

Good luck to you no matter what you decide is your next step.....but don't give up!

I just got denied and am prepared to go to Mexico in July if we cant overturn the insurance decision. 4300 is what I saw by reputable doctors and from what Ive seen everyone here saying, it is not bad there. You can get a loan or pay with credit card...you'll save that much on groceries in no time :)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
