Cander 66 Posted May 4, 2016 Well guys I met the surgeon and my case manager yesterday. Officially got this thing started. Took awhile for me to get over the im a failure why can't I do this on my own part. Now I'm just looking forward to being the dad my kids think I am. But seriously you guys have any regrets? Anything you would of done different? I'm done being 390 pounds. Dr said I'd be about 250. I said I will see 200-215 again I'm ready to tear the gym up. Even thinking about joining karate with my kids after the surgery. Well thanks for reading just kinda had to get it off my chest.

NikkiRT 265 Posted May 4, 2016 Hey Cander!!! Congratulations on taking the first step! I am also new, and just met with the nutritionist yesterday, so I have a few more hurdles to go through. Hopefully you have a really good MD office who is very helpful through the process. Best Wishes, Nicole
Thucydides 250 Posted May 6, 2016 I had the exact same thoughts of "failure" and "why can't I do this on my own?". I promise you, they will pass. The surgery will give you a tool that will be a big help in you getting yourself in the shape that you want. Since you will still have to do the work, you will still feel the success. Congratulations on taking a tough step.

I do believe that the weight goal the surgeon sets for us is the end all be all. People always far exceed expectations and you have the motivation within you. Dub 9,922 Posted May 16, 2016 Good luck ! It was one of the very best decisions I've ever made in my life. I'm very glad I went with the sleeve and very pleased with the ongoing progress and look forward to living at goal weight for the rest of my life, Lord willing. My only regret is not acting on this sooner.
