Will anything help with my saggy stomach?

Recommended Posts

The majority of my weight is centred around my middle, so as a result I have a pretty low, hangy stomach apron.

Now that I've lost a good amount of weight, I find it's harder to keep it from "popping" out of the bottom of my panties...I'm sorry tmi...because the skin is getting looser.

I would really appreciate any advise on what I could buy that would keep this darn thing under control!!

in the meantime I would choose a style of panties that will not let it pop out the bottom, more of a regular brief style.

I love the brief style at Soma.com that has the lace at the waist. they do not look or feel like granny panties to me. (although as I am a Grandmother, take that fashion advice with a grain of salt, lol) you may want something like a Spanx style shorts or some such that would hold it all in together.

My mother lost 150 pounds about 24 years ago (has kept off more than 100 of it despite heel problems!!) and she just wears jeans with some spandex and tucks it into her jeans. she hates doctors and so plastics are not going to happen for her.

I have an apron that has become more noticeable (at least to me) in recent months. I wear a bodysuit like this:

Love that they snap between the legs & they stay in place all day. I have a black and a nude and a white tank that doesnt snap, but sits low past my hips.

Yes @WorkinOnMe...I feel the same way too. I think my apron is WAY more noticeable now than it ever was. And it's annoying me WAY more now than ever too....flapping and such.

Ah, even non bariatric patients have "muffin tops." Don't despair, during the first 2 years post op as you lose weight, you can still get your skin to shrink to some degree. Drink plenty of liquids, this keeps your skin hydrated and supple. Do weight lifting or specific exercises that target the muscles under the problem skin areas. This helps tighten the skin and tone up muscle that helps fill out the skin and makes it look better. Here are sample exercises and there's more you can Google: http://www.healthyandnaturalworld.com/get-a-flat-tummy-at-home-with-these-simple-exercises

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
