tiffanymarie6997 115 Posted May 3, 2016 Yesterday was the first day I was allowed to eat anything remotely solid. Still have to wait for the real good stuff, so I grabbed a banana and put some Peanut Butter on top. It was maybe a 6 inch banana. I was able to eat the whole thing....I've seen people on here say they can barely eat a 1/4 cup of food! Yet here I am eating whole bananas, no problem. Just makes me worry that I may be able to eat more than I should. Of course I know compared to the amount I was eating before, a banana is almost nothing. Yet, here I am, worried Sent from my LGLS990 using the BariatricPal App

Miss Mac 6,262 Posted May 3, 2016 Although it may not look like it, a banana is about 75% Water.< /p>
SilentBotts 138 Posted May 3, 2016 I've noticed the same thing with liquids and certain foods. I'm about 5 weeks post op and I can comfortably drink a few sips or a regular gulp every few minutes now. Some foods like quiche or anything else very soft and light I can eat about a 1/2 to a full cup of. But denser foods like Salmon or corned beef hash I can still only eat 1/4 to a 1/2 cup in a sitting.
