James Marusek 5,244 Posted May 3, 2016 cat.jackson89 would you double check this with your nutricianist. My instructions were to begin immediately taking the full range of Vitamins once I arrived home. The only ones that were restrictive were the extra supplements that I was taking prior to surgery, such as Juvenon. The instructions for RNY patients were daily: 3 Flintstone's complete chewable Multivitamins Additional 65 milligrams elemental Iron daily for menstruating women 1500-1800 mg. Calcium citrate 500-1000 micrograms sublingual B12 daily or 1000 mcg IM injections once monthly 100 mg Thiamine (vitamin B1) daily Probiotics recommended Its hard to believe that you will get all this from a patch. Some surgeons may alter the mix slightly of what is required and there are some options available, but it is extremely important for you to meet your daily Vitamin requirements. You can find the Multivitamin patch at PatchMD.com or here at the Bariatric Pal Store. I'm aware of what I need to take- and my Physicians Assistant told me at my 10 day follow up that I was to start the following day. Everyone is different. Our bodies are different, and Our illnesses are different. I know what I was told to do/not do. Even in the slight chance you are a physician, you're not MY physician, therefore I would appreciate that when I say what I was told to take & when, that you would BACK OFF.
