catherine513 0 Posted May 2, 2016 Hi All, I'm a week out of surgery and have some numbness/tingling in my lower abdomen. It's below all of my incisions, so I'm not sure why it's happening. Has anyone else had something similar? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Daisee68 2,493 Posted May 3, 2016 I don't recall seeing anyone say this and I didn't have it. Worth a call to your doctor to be checked out.
mytwopugs 1 Posted May 7, 2016 I am having the same issue. It is numb to the touch and stings too. Clothes moving back and forth across the lower part of my abdomen is almost painful towards the end of the day. I know the stinging sensation will subside but I didn't realize until the staples were removed that there were spots that were numb. I'm going to ask next appt on 5/18. I'm assuming it's normal because the whole area under the skin has been under major construction. I'll report back unless you find out first!
Moorekat 78 Posted May 9, 2016 I had some nerve damage which made things worse. Deffinitely ask your Doc about it though. Mine was not where they didn't cut like yours. I do know that nerve damage can play a role in hurting other places as well. If it is nerve damage. Mine got better after 5 weeks. Best of Luck!
