kaciii 38 Posted April 30, 2016 Sleeved 3/30 and I believe I'm in my first stall. I started at 235 my pre op diet and now I'm 209 I'm getting discouraged because I'm afraid I'm failing and I'm not going to lose the weight . Everyone keeps saying to hold on that it'll happen . I guess I'm just anxious and wanting it to continue to drop. Any ideas on getting out of a stall this soon after ?
BJames42613 41 Posted April 30, 2016 Sleeved 3/30 and I believe I'm in my first stall. I started at 235 my pre op diet and now I'm 209 I'm getting discouraged because I'm afraid I'm failing and I'm not going to lose the weight . Everyone keeps saying to hold on that it'll happen . I guess I'm just anxious and wanting it to continue to drop. Any ideas on getting out of a stall this soon after ?My exercise physiologist told me she finds people get the best results when they stop weighing themselves constantly. She advised me to pick 1 day a month (I've chosen my surgery date) and routinely weigh/measure/photograph myself. My surgeon has assured me that as long as I stick with the diet plan, my sleeve will do most of the work for me for the first 18 months. You're never 100% sure what is going on inside of your body. If you're on a workout routine, you could be converting more fat to muscle and you could be seeing yourself stall. Trust that your body is doing what it needs. Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted April 30, 2016 Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the process of losing weight. None of us lose at a constant or steady rate. We all stall and most of us experience our first stall about three weeks post-op. Just follow your program. Focus on getting in all of your Protein and fluids. And, stay off the scale.
