baileyrahn 0 Posted April 30, 2016 Has anyone experienced nausea after they take their Multivitamins? The past two times I've tried to take mine I've gotten sick and had to throw up. Sorry if TMI. Thanks for the input! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted April 30, 2016 Some high potency Vitamins do make me nauseous. You may need to try a different brand and/or not take all your vitamins at one time.
Miss Mac 6,262 Posted April 30, 2016 Post-op, I was told to take Bariatric Advantage AE, which are horrid horse pills that I had trouble swallowing. I cut them in half. I cut them in fourths. I mashed them in applesauce. I got sick every time. Finally, I just switched myself to a generic Walgreen brand for senior citizens. They work fine, and my numbers are always fine on my blood tests every three months. (2 1/2 years out).
2goldengirl 2,076 Posted April 30, 2016 I've taken Vitamins for years, and every single Vitamin I tried made me nauseous, until I tried the Flintstones Complete chewables. My RD recommended them, and they are sooooooo easy on my stomach. I wish now I'd discovered them years ago.
Cari Dickenson 148 Posted April 30, 2016 I take vitafusion prenatal gummies.... easier for weight loss patients. ( bear in mind I hated Gummy Vitamins these ones are not horrible) .. and you get what you need. i also take a phillips brand Fiber which also has B 12 in it... I thought my b 12 was low because I was tired actually my Vitamin d was a lil high 0-o most peoples are low funny since I do not drink nor like nor have ever liked milk. But the Fiber keeps me regular... I take 2 in the morning two at night of the fiber... and the prenatals I take two in the morning and one at night ( trying to lower the Vitamin D and find the right level for it as all my other blood tests came back perfect. Bear in mind I have no thyroid and chronic back pain due to arthritis in my spine knees and hips so I also take pain meds
misi324 22 Posted May 3, 2016 (edited) You might want to consider the PatchMD Multivitamin that you wear. I'm almost 4 months out, been using the Patches for 2 months and my 3 month labs all came back in the normal range - I still chew Calcium and take B12 shots. Oh, and my Dr. approves.
