What does everyone use, if anything, to help lighten stretch marks? I have a lot and they travel all the way to my bra line... 4 pregnancies and eating cupcakes really took a toll on my body.

I like Palmet's cocoa butter and cocoa oil. I also got some goats milk belly balm that smells and feels fabulous. All of the above have Vitamin e.

I mostly use them because I love the smell!

Yeah I was going to ask, do those things actually work to help the appearance of stretch marks at all? My guess is no, unfortunately. I never for a second thought I'd have them because I never got huge (just real fat...), I was 6', 2" and 305 max, but I was wrong....oh well, part of it is probably being 60s

Unfortunately you are correct. Any stretch mark assistance would need to be preventative. You'd have to slather on your oils and lotions to keep the skin supple BEFORE it stretched out.

Once the marks are there the skin is already damaged and scarred, and they are going nowhere. Like any other scar the appearance will improve with time, but nothing will make then go away.

Mederma scar cream will lighten them. They will always be there, but they are much less noticeable after mederma. It takes about 6-8wks to lighten though so it's a slow process.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
