ld33 94 Posted April 29, 2016 I will be two weeks post-op this Tuesday. For a few days now, I have had a really bad pain in my lower back. My prescription Tylenol works to knock it out but I feel like I'm only taking it for back pain and pain from my stomach. I do have a little pain directly in front of that on the front side but it feels more like my esophagus instead of my stomach. I'm waiting on my surgeon to call me back. Has anyone experienced this? Proud2BMe 1,016 Posted April 29, 2016 The best thing for back pain is to walk and move around. I know it hurts but trust me, it's the only way. It's common to experience back pain when either losing weight or gaining weight. Your body is adjusting to the new changes.

Gorgeous Girl 2 Posted May 3, 2016 Have you been opening your bowels with the pain meds from op. I have a bad back which is made worse if I not have regular bowl movements. Sent from my SM-G900I using the BariatricPal App

Sent from my SM-G900I using the BariatricPal App I'm not exactly sure what you mean by opening with pain meds but I have not had a bowel movement since 2 days post-op, I am now 14 days post-op and I do believe once I have a good bm my tummy and my back will feel much better. Thankfully I have a follow up appt with my surgeon tomorrow.
