So I have always said I was 5'4 ..."on a good day" but I decided I really wanted to know exactly how I am am...or am NOT! Lol

So I had my partner measure me......I'm 5'2 3/4..... not even 5'3...

Lol guess my BMI is a tad higher than I thought....anyone else not sure exactly how tall they are ??

I've shrunk...

I used to be 5ft 11 1/2 inches...

I've lost an inch...

Better an inch off there than...

Well...

It's just better to come off my height...

For some odd reason, I told people I was 5' 1". I'm not. I'm exactly five feet tall (or short) as the case may be. :) I know this little lie had something to do with my weight...like an extra inch would make a difference with all the excess poundage I was carrying. But..hey, we all do what we must in order to avoid what we don't want to face.

Isn't it funny how we know our weight down the a tenth of a pound but sometimes not as sure of our height..... I'm still in shock over my "little" revelation! Lol

Gravity wins every time. If you want it back, do an inversion board in the morning and get your height checked then. It will give you that extra 1/2". But wait a minute ladies, I thought you all said size doesn't matter? ;-)

I was always 5'2 1/2" but having all those kids took their toll on me, I'm 5'1 1/2 everytime they measure me now.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
