SeaEli 15 Posted April 30, 2016 Hi everyone! Surgery was fine, and I feel great. I hardly have any gas pain, or any pain for that matter. I'd say the hardest part for me so far is the grogginess! I can't seem to snap out of it! Maybe a few laps will wake me up. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

SeaEli 15 Posted April 30, 2016 Well, I'm not exactly pain free anymore. The IV slipped out of my vein so I wasn't getting the pain meds or potassium chloride correctly--my entire hand and wrist were completely swollen. No Bueno! Anyways! Does anyone find that things taste differently after surgery?? Is this normal?? Water and broth have a terrible after taste as opposed to before surgery... Hurt like hell! Get well! Best of luck to you @@SeaEli!!

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I'm sorry you're not doing as well.....but just hang in there. I haven't had my surgery yet, I still have two weeks to go.....but I know I've read where several other people have posted on here that their tastes change completely after surgery, so I'd say what you're experiencing is completely normal. Good luck!!
