The Great Arse Face Experiment (Or - Does Haemorrhoid Cream really help with your turkey neck?)

Recommended Posts

I was recently having a discussion with a Personal Trainer (PT) mate of mine.

He was asking me about the changes I'd noticed with my body since losing my 230 lbs (so far)..
I told him about my 'deflated balloon belly'...

He laughed...

I told him about the 'bat-flaps' of skin under my upper arms that slap against me sometimes when I move...

He laughed...

I told him about my two sizes smaller feet...

He laughed..

The I told him about what was REALLY p*ssing me off...

My 'turkey neck'...

You see, I had a great big bullfrog type head...

Neck really...

I was one puffed-up-canetoad lookin' dude...

I mean, have a look at this - gallery_254366_23096_131367.jpg

As you can see, I've kept the beard in an effort to cover up the under-chin carry on...

Actually, that pic on the right was in October last year, so I've lost a little more from there now...

I'm in a new job now, so I'm decidedly more 'neat and tidy'..

Anyway, back to the 'roid cream thing...

My PT mate was telling me that a lot of the female body builders he knows use the 'roid cream to smooth their bits (no, not THOSE bits) when it comes to comp time...

He reckoned that if I grab a tube or two and have a crack at applying it regularly, it may just smooth and tighten my biggest uncovered embarrassment...

So, here's the sh*t -

Beginning Monday, I'll be applying the Doot Cream twice a day...

It'll be post shower in the morning and evening...

Over the weekend, I'll try to take a decent pic of the affected area...

If I can do so, I'll post it on Monday, then each Monday after I'll post updated pics to see if there's any difference...

I'll also be trying some 'neck yoga sh*t' that I just stumbled on when I googled "wobbly neck skin"...

I hope to be able to shave the beard off (or some of it) by my birthday in July (18th for all those planning gifts)...

So, if anyone is interested, stay tuned and we'll see how we go...

Of course, if anyone has already tried this, please feel free to chime in and let me know how you went...

Thanx for reading all the way to the end...

Assuming you did...

Jason

I wouldn't have thought roid cream would work on the neck area.... i know women use it for dark circles and bags under the eye......

It'll be interesting to see how it all works out for ya....

Btw i havent seen your before n after pics... great work... you look awesome

I was surprised too @

And it's entirely possible that my PT mate is dicking with me...

But I went and bought a tube and am willing to put my neck on the line for the sake of beauty and science...

And thanx for the kind words re the progress pics...

Still in the process and in a MASSIVE stall but I'll get there...

Its worth a try... cant hurt right.... and think of all the jokes you can make!

If it works.... ill buy a box of it and slather it everywhere if it stops me from getting loose skin lol

Well.. i wouldn't worry about your stall... itll break when its supposed to... you have done amazingly well.... how much have you lost to date?

Holy crap - you lost an entire person! What a difference! Congrats - you look great!

For what it's worth - the beard does a good job because I can't tell you have a turkey neck! I hope the roid cream works /because I'd like to get rid of my circus lady beard and not have to grow it more after my weight loss! Look forward to seeing the results!

I'll give ya the tip - if it works, I'll be buying shares in one of the companies and bathing in the sh*t!!!

Yeah, I'm not worrying about the stall...

I'm thinking about doing a 5 day Optifast Torture Test to see if I can reboot...

We'll see...

I've lost about 106kg to date...

I'm really happy with it...

Certainly not complaining...

Still got about 40kg to go and I hope to have that sorted by Christmas-ish...

Oh yeah, I was a biiiig guy...

Started at 255kg (562 lbs)...

So I'm REALLY feeling good at this weight...

I can only imagine what 110 kg (242 lb) might feel like...

Even if I don't get that low, I'll still be so much better off than...

Well...

Dead and stuff...

Jason, I am SO glad you're doing this experiment.

I've been entertaining the idea of a similar science experiment myself -- on my whole face. But I'm going to wait and see the results of yours first.

I may then duplicate in peer-reviewed fashion your own experiment and publish my results here. ;)

P.S. And dude! Your weight loss! I honestly had no freakin' idea what a hugely successful WLS patient you'd been. I just thought you were a smarty-mouth. ;)

Just a smarty-mouth?

I'm offended...

I'll have you know that I'm quite an accomplished smarty-mouth...

And yes, I guess I could be considered a "successful WLS patient"...

Well, hopefully by Christmas anyway... ;)

As far as the experiment goes, I'm happy to take on the responsibility...

You see, I'm a man of the people...

I'm a giver...

I feel it's my duty to make...

Oh what bollocks!!

I wanna look good and get the ladies...

And if it takes rubbing my face with arse cream then by God I'm gonna do it!!

Maybe I should do the whole face too...

Hmmmmmmmmm...

You've made me think...

I don't like that...

But thanx for the other stuff!!!

First and foremost, WOW! That is an amazing transformation. Congratulations on your fantastic weight loss efforts!

(And now for a joking comment)

I heard that the "arse cream" only works if someone drinks too much and ends up sh**-faced.

Congrats on the loss!

I feel your pain! I took a selfie on Easter in the car on way to Easter dinner and I about died! My neck is hideous!!

So I now vowed only selfies looking skyward! Lol

But I can't wait to see if this treatment works and I may be on board too!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
