Suzannie19 16 Posted April 28, 2016 I am eight weeks post op and have been having a lot of issues, I feel like it's one thing after another. I couldn't eat a thing the last week so my Gastro wanted to do an endoscope yesterday and found an ulcer. I'm really upset because I am even more limited to food choices and can't seem to even keep down Protein shakes because of the location of the ulcer. Has anyone else experienced this ? Thank you ! Sheriberi 21 Posted April 30, 2016 I have not as I'm having my bypass Tuesday but wanted to say I hate to hear of all of your troubles and hope that you heal and it'll get better from here on out . Do they know how you got an ulcer so early out ?
Thecloude1 342 Posted April 30, 2016 I'm wondering if I have an ulcer too....I had a week of horrible cramps and diarrhea a few weeks ago followed by a burning pouch. My dr put me on Sucralfate and Reglan and I felt better up until the past 3-4 days. I've been having bad gas followed by diarrhea which comes on in the evenings and my pouch doesn't feel right...almost like heartburn. I hope they fix us up!! Btw..I'm 10 weeks post op
Suzannie19 16 Posted April 30, 2016 Thecloude1: that's exactly how I felt, I was doing fine with introducing new foods and then one day I could barely have liquids without discomfort. If it doesn't get better in the next few days I would suggest you call your gastro and have them do an Endoscope. That's how they found mine and since being on Medicine I feel much better!
