I use unhurt unflavored in crystal light and have had great success. No grit or thick taste. Good luck.

@@Sherry, if it is the unflavored unjury (my favorite) you can mix with pretty much anything.

Watch adding to hot liquids as it will clump Ex: coffee. Mix with a little warm Water then add to hotter liquid.

chicken broth, tea, egg drop Soup, crystal light etc.

I also do not like the taste of the Isopure, unflavored, that I have, so I am adding a 1/2 scoop of it to my LightNFit Greek yogurt to bump up the Protein (and hide the taste!).

I'm not a big fan of the Isopure clear stuff, either, but the choices are limited when on a clear diet (which for me, fortunately, has been limited to one day things before surgery or a colonoscopy.) The best thing that I have found to do with it is to mix make Jello with it. The unflavored powders like unjury can be used in the same way, or as suggested, mixed into other drinks or broths They also have a chicken broth flavored Unjury that can be used, though you may not have time to order any unless you are on Clear Liquids for an extended time for some reason.

Thanks, only have today left on clear liquids. The Isopure is an orange drink, and the after taste is awful. I have unjury unflavored powder, I'm gonna try Crystal light with it.

@@Sherry - sorry. I didn't think about the Isopure drinks, I haven't tried those, just the powdered unflavored (ick). I am going to stick with the Unjury brand for unflavored powdered Protein.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
