If you are a March 30th sleever or close to the date, I would like to know how everyone is doing.

So far for me everything is going really well. Some confusion here and there and I'll either figure it out myself or contact the doctors office.

What stage are you on? How are you feeling? Have you returned back to work? Gym? How much have you lost?

Please add whatever you choose to share!

Mine was on March 27

I am on soft food now.

Total loss was 18 lbs ONLY.

I am in stall now didnt lose anything for past 2 week (since I started the puree food).

I started soft food this week and I have unconfortable feelings that food stuck in my esophagus and takes too long to pass through

does anyone had the same feelings at this stage??

Still can't get all my Protein and Water in.

I didnt start exercising yet just few minutes on elliptical each day but nothing serious.

I dont want to loose weight fast but I dont want to stop there

Mine was March 28th. I am on soft food now, but sometimes I will still have mushy food. I am doing ok with Protein and Water, essentially 60g of Protein and 64 oz are my targets. Some days are better than others. I started up at the gym this past Saturday the 23rd. So far I have had one stall, and am in one right now. But total lost is 28 pounds. I'm feeling almost 100%! Best decision of my life.

Mine was March 30th too. I am at soft food stage. I started swimming and I feel great. Next week I will start some abdominal exercises. Honestly I returned to work after just 1 week post op. I'm taking all my Vitamins and getting in my Protein shakes smoothly. I lost 37 lbs and for the past two weeks my scale didn't move at all. Otherwise I feel great.

I don't have any regrets at all.

Drink a lot of Water, don't skip your Vitamins and Protein Shakes. They'll give you energy. Oh and I started wearing smaller clothes . Excited to continue.

Wow! Everyone is doing amazing!

I struggle day to day with Water and Protein intake. Some days are good and some not so good. I just continue to push through. I noticed that this week I haven't been feeling so good. Today it dawned on me that it's probably my Water and Protein intake and that I need more. I've lost 23lbs so far and I'm very proud of myself!! I'm proud of you guys as well. I'm looking forward to getting back to the gym as I have a doctors appt next week. Some days I get confused as to what should I be eating at this stage.

I asked that you guys keep me updated on your progress as I will do the same.

Had my surgery on 3/28 so official one month as of today.

I'm down about 20lbs from the day of surgery and 40lbs from the start of my two week pre-op liquids diet.

On soft foods now, able to tolerate everything I've tried so far.

Hitting my Water and Protein goals for the most part, have trouble remembering to drink throughout the day some times.

Able to get three 1/2 cup meals in right now so hitting about half my Protein from food and the other half from a protein shake.

Walking about two miles a day five days a week.

Had some problems with Constipation the second week but no other issues so far.

Feeling better physically than I have in a long time, lots of little aches in my legs are already starting to go away. Clothes are already too big.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
