I know soda is out of the question because of the carbonation but what about frozen cokes. There is no carbonation left. I know three is sugar but I was thinking maybe as a special treat.

I work for a company that makes soda machines. The frozen ones still have carbonation. Not as much but they still contain carbonation. Freezing actualy holds the carbonation.

This may sound like a dumb question, but I do not understand the carbonation thing and my Dr. never mentioned it. Are carbonated beverages not allowed because they will hurt the band, or us somehow, or is this just something that gives people discomfort. I don't understand why - is it the gas? I haven't tried it, but if diet pop doesn't bother my stomach can I have it, or is there a medical reason I can't?

I drink a little soda from time to time, even though I'm not suppose too.

From what I understand the carbonation expands the pouch, and can cause slippage. And I think all that is uncomfortable.

The makers of the lapband have said that no carbonated beverages are allowed because it can cause slipage and a possible band replacement. Me personally I would never risk having it when my doctor and the makers both say its a big no no. Its just not worth it and if my band slips bad enough that I need a replacement my insurance wont cover it.

the frozen idea sure does sound good ....

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
