asmallerme2016 33 Posted April 27, 2016 Hello, I'm a newbie here. I'm a nervous wreck. Excited but nervous. Surgery is in 3 days and I am struggling on my 2 week liquid diet. I was wondering if indeed after surgery the 2 week post-up liquid diet is easier because you won't have the hunger pains or is it harder because you can't take in that much liquid at one time. maria1026 8 Posted April 27, 2016 Hello I'm new here too. I'm 14 days post op and really had no hunger pains for the first 4 days. I was on a liquid diet. Unfortunately for me I became dehydrated so please sip all day. Occasionally I get a few hunger pains now when I go 4 hours or more without eating. Hope my story help. Best of luck to you!! Dub 9,922 Posted April 27, 2016 It was way more easy post op for me. No hunger then and still no hunger at six months.
asmallerme2016 33 Posted April 27, 2016 (edited) @@maria1026 thanks for the tip. I was so worried. I figured first couple days because of pain and new stomach I would not be hungry but after I start healing would the hungry come back. @@Dub glad to hear that too. I saw your pic yesterday and you look amazing. Great job on your weigh loss. Truly an inspiration that this can be done!! LisaMergs 2,854 Posted April 27, 2016 You will quickly learn the difference between "real" versus "head" hunger, the latter which can usually be calmed with a liquid such as Water. It passes quickly. But 5 weeks (today!) post op I have to set an alarm to remember to eat! That is how awesome it is!
asmallerme2016 33 Posted April 27, 2016 @@LisaMergs that's awesome. Can't wait. I guess when you over read and hear bad with the good I tend to freak out about the bad. Congrats on being 5 weeks out Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
