bnm0006 6 Posted April 26, 2016 I just started my week of full liquids. I am so happy with my decision to do this surgery, even with only 50% family support. I've healed well, walked as much as possible, and am in no pain unless I push my stomach muscles too hard (sitting/ laying to standing without using my arms to help me). I can officially say I'm sick of the liquid diet. Ha ha almost three weeks of just liquids really gets to you. I'm happy I get to start working on things like Protein shakes and cream of wheat! I had my 1 week surgeon check up this morning, he says I'm healing wonderfully and I'm ahead of schedule on my weight loss (23# in 16 days) I feel fantastic! I highly recommend the Isopure drinks! 40g Protein and they're so delicious! They're sweet but end with a little tartness as to not overpower your taste buds. The melon one reminds me of a liquid jolly rancher. Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App

TJs_Dad2012 246 Posted May 7, 2016 Yeah, that liquid diet is a trip. I'm having trouble meeting Protein and liquid intake they want in one day. I'm ready for mushy foods or something other than boring clear and Protein shake but i know healing takes a while. Congrats on your surgery! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App It definitely takes a while. I'm 3 weeks out now and I can just barely handle refried Beans. Mashed potatoes sir really heavy with me and I'm uncomfortable. Popsicles are heaven though, I'm constantly craving I've cold Water or something cold. Try Fairlife milk. It's delicious, 50%more protein and 30% more Calcium than regular milk.
TJs_Dad2012 246 Posted May 7, 2016 Cool, I'm 10 days out today walked my first mile this morning and feel better. My craving is for spicy wings for some weird reason lol. No I'm not going to dive on that...but dang. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App
bnm0006 6 Posted May 7, 2016 Haha ya wings would be a bad idea. I stuck with the Isopure and Unjury for the two weeks but it got old fast. Now I have the premier drinks and I just try to have Protein in anything I eat. I've had trouble with dehydration from going back to work so I've started drinking G2 and it's not as bad as I remember from before surgery.
