brispenny31 0 Posted August 10, 2007 To be banded on the 9th of October 07, and I suppose I need some reasurrance that the weight will come off, it's just hard to believe that this battle that I've been fighting all this time. I'm actually going to start winning. I'm sure some people can relate to that feeling of, it's actually going to happen. So excited but scared at the same time, can't wait. penny
TerriDoodle 6 Posted August 10, 2007 My doc says that the people who are most successful with the band are those who have successfully lost weight in the past (not necessarily kept it off) and I can see how this is true. You can easily sabotage yourself by eating milkshakes and Hershey bars and cheesecake! ...no doubt. But if you generally enjoy and can be satisfied eating healthy foods, with an occassional treat, then yes, the weight will drop off. Exercise is certainly a part of a formula for success as well. Yes, I think we all are skeptical until we see it happen for ourselves!
beachgirl 2 Posted August 10, 2007 I couldn't loose an ounce until I was banded. Been banded for 12 months and down 80 pounds and I wouldn't take anything for my band. It's a tool but OMG does it make dieting easy.
