my3loco 1 Posted April 24, 2016 This is the first time I've posted. Been lurking for almost two years!! I had my sleeve 9/14 and have only lost about 25 pounds. I know what has caused my failure but have no more insight now than the day of my surgery. Where do I go from here? 2goldengirl 2,076 Posted April 24, 2016 That depends entirely on the reason you've identified for your failure, doesn't it? There is lot of help and support available here, but we need a little more to go on here.
my3loco 1 Posted April 24, 2016 I don't think anything has changed other than my smaller portions. I still eat crap and drink alcohol. I have changed some habits undoubtedly but not enough for the change I was hoping for. I still want to lose 50 pounds. Christinamo7 4,042 Posted April 24, 2016 well. the good news is tomorrow is a new day and you can choose to eat good Proteins, lay off the alcohol for a while and see what you can do. All depends on how much you want to loose that 50 pounds. I wouldn't rate this as a failure, but a choice you've made. and your sleeve is right there waiting for you if you decide to make a change. Valentina 2,642 Posted April 25, 2016 I decided to "work with" my sleeve after "not listening" to it for four years. I went back to the first week of solid food stage and got back on track. It can be done. YOU can do it!!! You have the opportunity to stand up, stand tall and be your own hero. Soooo, get mov'n!!! Prayers going up for you.
BigDog Bryan 262 Posted April 25, 2016 I would add that you probably need to go back to a Protein shake with 50 grams of Protein (2 portions and 12 oz. of liquid) every day. Skipping the shakes caused my weight loss to slow dramatically, so now they are mandatory for me. Dig out your Post-Surgery food guide and Get To It
