TexGal 0 Posted August 10, 2007 Hi, I am also soon to have the lap-band done. Right now I am doing my 6 month pre-op diet. Just wanted to say that my reason for wanting the lap-band over the bypass is because I want to have more children and I did not want my intestines messed with. I know that people that choose to have the bypass are still able to have children, but that is not what I want. I have never had surgery before, and I don't want to start with the bypass. You have to do what is right for you. I just wanted you to be able to hear someone else's reason for choosing the lap-band, over the bypass. Good luck to you.
