Hi dear Friends, I would like to know if my situation is common or if it's something people have discussed here before.

I'm a 6' 1" man with very wide shoulders whose heaviest was 305 lbs at various times over the years during the morbidly obese periods in between my losing 50 lbs at least 5 times in my life. Well enough of that crap!!

So I went to my surgeon's public presentation a year and a half ago weighing about 285 lbs suffering from every co morbid element one can think of, and some one usually doesn't think of...! So when it was confirmed I went on Atkins Diet and started a strong daily walking program and ended up meeting the surgery half way; I went under the knife at around 247, and now 9 weeks later I'm at 195 lbs, which is ten under my original goal weight. I'm finding that as I get to each new weight, I see that I would like to weigh even less; now yes of course I've suffered from some extreme body dis-morphia as most of us have, but I'm making these new goals based on real, measurable things like body fat % and waist circumference, anyway so now I think I might actually go to 185 which will be in a month maybe max at the rate I've been losing.

The reason I wrote this is because I hear about people losing weight for over a year, and then sometimes still not being at goal weight, etc. and here I am about to be at goal weight at three months post-op. Well I realize it all depends on so many factors from gender to starting weight and BMI to metabolic history, but was just wondering if you've heard of many people going into maintenance phase at THREE months out, thanks for listening and I'd appreciate any commentary, love, pedrito

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.

Lost my Pup last month and struggled really hard for that first month. Stopped tracking intake and slid into old habits here and there. Also quit working out. Can't walk in the neighborhood because of all of the memories we shared. Losing my Pup is the most heartbreaking thing I've ever been through. My Pup was my world 💔
Talked to my doc during my one year followup and they were not worried about my current status. They know, and I know, that I will get back on track.

I'm so sorry. I lost my pup (Mr. Bitters - a chocolate Pomeranian) 2 years ago and it still makes me tear up. He was my everything - my constant companion. I understand. Do the best you can to get back on track.
