@@KindaFamiliar, Congratulations on your NSV! Yes, that definitely qualifies! Thanks for sharing, and keep letting us know about your NSV’s…when you notice them, of course, and you’re not too busy living life and loving it to notice them!

Hahah OMG. Love it! Can't wait till I have a lap. I keep joking that soon my Chihuahua is no longer going to have two shelves to sit on (stomach and boobs).

Again, thanx to all who have 'liked' and commented, both here and in PM...

The support and 'love' that is given so freely in this forum really is a huge help to me..

Much appreciated...

Jason

Now you need a little dog to fill in that space in your lap. My two little dogs were very excited that my lap is smaller and they can fill in the space. ;)

@@KindaFamiliar Or you can get a big blue pit that takes up your whole body but thinks he's a lap dog!!!

Strangely, a little dog isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I think about filling that gap...

Weren't you asked to leave this thread?

I mean, I'm pleased that your last post was at least polite - but surely you've left it a little late...

Just learned something new.

Mine was April 18th as well. Tomorrow I start my full liquids. I've only lost 2 pounds but I'm hoping it's because I've been swollen and such. I've been meeting my goals but like you, I'm so tired of liquids

I actually gained 7 lbs because of swelling and IV fluids. I was so annoyed, but it's been coming off daily. Don't get discouraged, we're gonna rock this!!! Going into this surgery, we all knew it would be very difficult, but I have no doubts that we can accomplish our weight loss goals! Good luck with everything! Reach out if you need to! :-)

Can someone explain to me what NSV means, please?

It is a Non scale Victory. Something positive that is not a number on the scale.< /div>

Lol that was hilarious! Super excited for you!!

I felt the same way when I realized I could cross my legs! Appropriately without the leg on top sticking straight out because of all the extra fat on my legs!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
