Julie norton 2,850 Posted April 28, 2016 From observing these forums for years, and with my support group chats, it seems regaining a % of your total loss is most likely. I note several successful people who reach goal and stay, but a large number of people seem to go low, then bounce to a more long term set point. It seems such a personal choice to accept the total overall weight loss, or seek to lower it back to the lower weight . Personally, I go back and forth with about ten pounds, and I appreciate the lower end, and always try to work towards it....I just don't give it too much "fight" ... I Just plan a healthy day and go on. In the overall scheme of life, I'm healthy and aware of choices everyday. Nothing is perfect!
Dawnana 14 Posted April 29, 2016 I've been doing the 5dpt and am shocked at how much restriction I still have. I have already lost 5 lbs in 3 days which shows me how poor my decisions have been for the last few years. So yay! I just had a leg cast removed yesterday so I can get back in to my Crossfit workouts (slowly) but this was a good reminder that this surgery was not a quick fix and I am not "cured". This will always be a part of me and I will always have to work at weight loss and/or maintaining due to my surgery.
