I didn't have any - my surgeon used Dermabond (surgical glue).

I didn't have any either. My incisions were glued. What were your post-op instructions?

I was told 2 days. I just wanted to see if other folks had similar time frame.

Leave the steri Strips alone, though. They're like mini pieces of strapping tape and they'll really hurt if you try to pull them off. As they begin to wear at the edges, you can trim those with scissors.

I'm definitely leaving the sterile strips alone. I just removed the bandages that were covering them. I showered and the bandages got wet. I didn't want to breed bacteria on my incisions.

I had no bandages on my cuts my Dr. Put some type of glue I'm now 14 days post op and they still haven't fallen off but my Dr said not to mess with them so I just shower regularly and that's it.

I also had the glue and my surgeon told me NOT to remove and to leave it on until it fell off 2-3 weeks out. When edges started coming loose I did have to trim with scissors as mentioned above but please resist the urge to pick.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
