Weight gain already?!?!

I do drink the Isopure clear. Started those on my pre op diet. I have to mix it with Water because that after taste is a little harsh to me, but it is definitely a great change from normal Protein Shakes. And I even found Fairlife yesterday and bought two bottles. Thanks for all the suggestions and replies.

My suggestion and I know some will not agree with me, but put the scales up in the closet for now. Weigh only once a week at most, or every 2 weeks, especially while you are having regular visits with your Dr, weigh in there.

I agree totally!! I knew I'd be one to compare my loss to those of others, so I chose to stay off the scale in the beginning. The only time since surgery I was weighed was at my 2 week post op on April 7th. I wouldn't have done it yesterday, but I had a rough couple of days, mentally, so I'm trying to remind myself why I did this, I figured I'd step on to boost my spirits. It did anything but, so I took the batteries out of the scale and packed it deep, DEEP, inside my closet. Lol. Hopefully my next appt, at the end of May, will include the loss I so desperately long to hear.

Stick to your doctor's plan and it will!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
