Is this a common occurrence or is it the first time you've vomited in a while? Did you do anything unusual or out of your routine, like eat too fast or eat something you haven't eaten before? Did you feel nauseous before you ate?

I hope for an update that you are doing better!

I have never vomited with my new little stomach. I am a little nervous about that someday.

I had my surgery January 5th. This is my third time getting sick. I don't know what happen. About half hour after I vomited a couple of times. I feel fine but now I am afraid to eat anything today.

This happened to me last week. Just out of the blue. Felt fine, got up, showered, had a few sips of diet gatorade and then all of a sudden I got hot and dizzy and very nauseous. Vomited twice and then I felt better, but still a little off all day. I rested and was fine the next day but I would hate for that to happen in public!! Ugh...

Hope you are feeling better!

Yikes!!! Hope it subsides soon! Im almost 3.5 months out & haven't thrown up or had dumping syndrome yet, but they are both at the top of my "Don't want to do list." Good luck!!!

Its so weird because it really isn't a dumping syndrome kind of thing. I asked my nut she says sometimes that happens randomly and once I release the pressure in my chest I am fine. So I don't really know. its always bile and never food and I make myself vomit.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
