sbg224 318 Posted April 20, 2016 I am 8 months post sleeve, down 90-91 lbs and love it. This is the first time, well the past month, that I have had such a slow down in weight loss since the very beginning. After the slow start, I went full speed ahead and finally lost a significant amount of weight. Now I am staying pretty steady at 178lbs-177lbs. I have been eating more carbs after my 6 months rolled around and I am trying my best to cut back on them, bread is a huge downfall, I know just stay away, but it is very hard, that's why I am looking for a new therapist. My question is do you think it is a stall or the carbs, or combination of both. I am averaging 70-75 gms carbs per day, sometimes a little more. Thanks for advice and or comments
Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted April 20, 2016 I don't know. What does your NUT advise? How much Protein are you getting in? Are you getting in at least 64 oz + of Fluid? Are you exercising?
stacyrg2 350 Posted April 20, 2016 I agree. What is your total Protein consumption? Total calories? How is your Water intake? It may be the carbs, but it may just be a normal slow down. I know I lost best when I kept my Protein over 80g and my carbs under 50g.
sbg224 318 Posted April 20, 2016 Hi Stacy. I get in anywhere between 80-110 gms Protein a day. I am drinking lots of fluids, I train with trainer 2 times a week, ride bike and walk in pool, about 3 times a week and go to physical therapy for right knee 3 times a week. MY sugar and fats are not over the top. I do not see doc and NUT until May 12th, so just wondering what some of the veterans thought, thanks
stacyrg2 350 Posted April 20, 2016 I think it may just be the normal slow down. My loss slowed at that point but I was still losing inches and things were redistributing. I'm positive you're not done!! Hope to see you on 5/12! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

2goldengirl 2,076 Posted April 20, 2016 You don't mention total calories. You're doing significant exercise, it's possible your total calories are too low rather than the carbs too high.
