mlf1023 4 Posted April 18, 2016 Hi all! I'm scheduled for lap band surgery tomorrow. I'm nervous, excited, and everything in between. I've lost 17 pounds during the two week liquid phase. Should I expect to gain some of that back??? I'm trying to keep my expectations as realistic as possible. Thank you. Gaylene Davison 43 Posted April 21, 2016 Hi. I hope your surgery has gone well. When I had my band fitted I did weigh a bit more post op because of Fluid build up. But it was only temporary and because of the post op diet you will be on, it comes off quickly. Well done on losing so much pre op. You must have followed the guidelines really well. Keep doing that and you will be a success. Keep posting!
mlf1023 4 Posted April 21, 2016 (edited) Thank you!! I am two days past today, and still dealing with a good bit of bloating. I can feel it in my back and in my chest. I can't tell when I'm hungry or bloated. One minute I will feel hungry, I take a sip or two of my shake and feel bloated. I'm only getting down two shakes a day and some strained Soup and then some drinks, but probably not as much as I should as far as drinks go. I end up feeling uncomfortable, so I stop. Hopefully the bloating goes away soon. Sent from my XT1565 using the BariatricPal App Edited April 21, 2016 by mlf1023

mlf1023 4 Posted April 24, 2016 I am having horrible shoulder pain! It's usually only in my left shoulder, but tonight it was in both and my chest. I was in tears it hurt so bad. I read where doing windmills will help. Any other suggestions??? Sent from my XT1565 using the BariatricPal App
KristenLe 5,979 Posted April 24, 2016 Get your fluids in and walk as much as possible. Don't hesitate to call your Dr if the pain is that intense. Actually - I'd call them and just check to see what they recommend.
