kdelrosso 124 Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) Help!! I have started losing hair about a month ago. I was sleeved in December 2015. I wasn't getting my Protein requirements for awhile but that has since been rectified. I get at least 90g a day, but I am still losing a significant amount of hair. Other people can tell I'm thinning around my hair line but otherwise I can only tell that my hair is thinner throughout the rest of my hair. How long before it slows down! I'm having a slight breakdown over it! Thanks ! Oh and I also use Nioxin to wash my hair and take Biotin supplements along with my normal daily Vitamin Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Edited April 17, 2016 by kdelrosso
katcycler 95 Posted April 17, 2016 Relax and embrace the Hair loss. It will stop. Mine started at month 4 and lasted till month 8. It got really thin and has been growing back since. I'm 18 months out from surgery and the new growth is coming in to where my hair is pretty thick again. I still take 10000 mcg of Biotin daily. It won't stop the hair loss but it does help with regrowth.
breezy25 69 Posted April 18, 2016 @@kdelrosso how long were you struggling with your Protein intake? I'm almost 2 weeks post op and have not made it to 60 g once yet. My diet was advanced from Clear liquids to full liquids and now I'm relying on premiere Protein shakes but I can't seem to choke them down and I'm worried I'll have significant hair loss later!
